Try a Tri

1st of Jan and my first ever Sprint Triathlon. The swim at the start was surprisingly the easiest section (and the one I had stressed about the most prior to the race). Was a bit of a push cycling 3 times round Arthurs Seat in Edinburgh in a blustery side wind. At the flat bit at the top where it was ‘meant’ to be easy the side wind meant it was hard to stay on the bike but I did it. By the time I got to the run section I was relieved to be back on my own two feet. So Im now officially a triathlete (albeit it a very slow one). Big thanks to the support from Neil, Gilly and Sean. It was great having people shouting for me. (Didnt realise I didnt wear my goggles over my eyes in the pool til Sean mentioned it in the car on the way home! Great bit of bling. Next year its a husband and wife team.

Well done Vicky- sounds like hard work! I’d like to try one but am such a rubbish swimmer. Thinking of trying some adult lessons first or I would still be swimming by the time folk had completely finished! Great effort and happy new year

    Vicki,
Happy New Year. Aye, it was a wee bit breezy yesterday. A major achievement, well done.
