Junior race is for FREE
Senior race: Entry cost: £8
The race registration cost has increased this year as the Pentland Land Managers Association have imposed a £5 “donation” per runner. The PLMA pledge that funds raised will be used on biodiversity or infrastructure projects within the Pentlands.
There is also a yellow donation box near the Pentland Hills cafe (near registration). This raises money for the Pentland Hills Regional Park (PHRP). If you drive to the race, we would welcome a donation as they are currently upgrading the carpark. Thanks.

Overview
The senior Turnhouse Hill race (5.2kms, 310 metres) is a traditional hill race suited for all runners with hill running experience. Although relatively short, the main ascent and descent to/from the summit are steep so hill shoes are advised. The route is mostly tracked although the steep climb up to the summit is through heather.
The junior race has been extended a little for 2023. It is a short out and back route but we now go slightly higher up Turnhouse: ca. 2.2kms, 160 metres) – see map below.
The race start is a few minutes jog up the glen road from the Flotterstone car park (NT229631).
Please follow the track through the woodland
Registration
Registration (number collection) is near the Pentland café at the Flotterstone car park (EH26 0PR or NT232630) within the Pentland Hills Regional Park. The race start is a few mins walk/jog away through the trees – see above.Getting There
