Distance 2.6 km
Climb 410 m
As you can see from the map, there is no messing about in this race. It is pure hill, there isn’t much of a path either until you are near the top so it is a free for all in terms of routes, I have no idea what the optimum one might be, even now! It was a fantastic way to spend a Saturday afternoon. The drive down was just lovely, thanks for the lift Chris.

Great running – especially well
done to Michael! I’ve never done this race, must try next year :-).
We’ll see at training tomorrow. Well done all!
Congratulations to all 5 Harriers who survived Chapelgill on Saturday but especially to Michael Greens who wasn’t all that far back from the winner. I’ve seen Chapelgill described as “the steepest hill race in Britain and if you don’t believe it on the way up you will on the way down”. The comment goes on to say “it might be a few days before your legs respond to normal signals again.” Memories!
