Thanks to everyone who took part for helping to make this another successful annual road race, which this year saw a record 207 runners take part in great conditions (considering the previous 2 days!).
We hope enjoyed it and hope to see you all again next year.
Results are now available on our website and some photos will follow over the next few days.
You can find some, as usual excellent, photos courtesy of Bob Marshall here.
And some photos from club members here. Hopefully more to follow as I get them…
Thanks
Susie
Thank you very much for a great day on Saturday. I felt really looked after all the way around the course and had loads of support from the Marshalls.
I have only just taken up running so hopefully I will be back next year to improve my time :o)
Thanks Alanda, what a nice thing to say that you felt looked after, it really made me think that we have done a good job. Our marshals have a bit of a reputation for their enthusiasm – I bribe them with tea & cake afterwards and it seems to work, except they also bake all the cakes so actually they don’t get that good a deal out of it 🙂 Look forward to seeing you next year. Susie
Thanks for organising the Penicuik 10K yesterday. ..a great race..hard!! Everyone was so friendly and helpful and the encouragement from the marshals on the way round was amazing. Really enjoyed it
Anne
Thanks Anne. Yes we are quite a friendly bunch and our marshals are known for their superb encouragement – they are given no training at all, it comes naturally! All the hard work is worthwhile when we hear that the runners enjoyed their experience – hope to see you back next year… Susie
The race on Saturday was the first 10K I have taken part in. Thanks to all who made this a memorable occasion – really well organised, great atmosphere and well done to everyone who took part. See you next year!. Darren
Thanks Darren, pleased you chose our race as your first 10k and glad you enjoyed it. The weather couldn’t be more different in Penicuik today compared to yesterday! Look forward to seeing you next year, Susie
